The Victoria College music examinations are available in a wide range of subjects, including solo performance, ensemble performance and theory.
In addition to grades 1-8 most examinations are available in four 'preliminary' grades to provide encouragement for the younger beginner. Medal and diploma examinations are also offered.
Specialist teaching diplomas are also available and more information on this is contained in the instrument syllabus.
We were the first exam board to examine in Electronic Organ Playing. We were the first to offer diplomas in Electronic Keyboard Playing. We examine in subjects that are no longer available from other boards; e.g. Mandolin Playing, Accordion, and Contrabassoon.
